Welcome to the webpage of the Computational Fluids Group in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Auburn University. Our research is broadly in the area of theoretical and computational fluid mechanics. Some topics of current research include:

  • Numerical methods for high-fidelity turbulent flow simulations in complex domains
  • Turbulent mixing, phase changes, and combustion in high-pressure environments
  • Fluid-structure interaction in compressible high-Reynolds-number flows
  • High-performance computing on heterogeneous system architectures
  • Application of machine learning to data assimilation

We are looking for graduate students to join our group. Please email Nek Sharan for more details.
